Mt. Zion United Methodist Church
Men's Ministry
Vison Statement: “That the men of Mt. Zion UMC will consistently honor the Lord Jesus Christ in all areas of their lives.”
Mission Statement: “Godly men working together for the growth of the Church and the Community.”
Foundational Verse: “We proclaim Him, admonishing every man and teaching every man with all wisdom, so that we may present every man complete in Christ.” (Colossians 1:28)
The health and vitality of the church is directly linked to the participation of men. Men’s Ministry is a wing of MZUMC discipleship initiative to help men flourish as God designed them to be and that discipleship and mentoring are vital for the younger generation. The men’s ministry is primarily lay-led and is less programmatic and more organic by nature. We have been challenged to be a true disciple by: Loving, living, serving, giving and then reproducing who we are. Come and grow…then be ready to give back. “We enter to worship and go out to serve.”

Health Ministry
Vision Statement: “Is people caring for people in areas fundamental to well-being.
Mission Statement: “To bring better health to the wider community, such as by partnering with individuals and groups already at work in specific ways.”
Foundational Verse: Jesus came that we “may have life, and have it abundantly” (John 10:10)
Mt. Zion United Methodist Church Health Ministry is an opportunity for individual members and the faith community as a whole to encounter the good news through a whole-life lens. Throughout the Bible, we read of God’s care for both physical and spiritual needs—usually at the same time. The call of Scripture is that we are whole people not divided between, but rather united by, body and spirit. MZUMC health ministry is a lived faith intimately connected to the core of what Jesus did. When Jesus sent his first followers out to do the work he had prepared them for, he sent them to “proclaim the kingdom of God and to heal” (Luke 9:2) If we line ourselves up as one, ready to give what we can to healing work, we will see that the church is uniquely poised to lead the efforts for better health in every community.
